Morton L. Mandel Receives "Yakir Oranim" Award

The event honored Mr. Mandel’s many years of work, his unique leadership, and his contribution to the field of education in Israel

​Oranim Academic College of Education held a ceremony to award Mr. Morton L. Mandel the title of "Yakir Oranim" (“Distinguished Fellow of Oranim") on Wednesday June 1, 2016. The event honored Mr. Mandel’s many years of work, his unique leadership, and his contribution to the field of education in Israel.

The president of Oranim College, Prof. Yaarah Bar-On, is herself a graduate of Cohort 6 of the Mandel School for Educational Leadership. Nine other Mandel graduates have made Oranim their professional home, and are involved in the expansion of the College’s activities in the field of social responsibility and in its pursuit of excellence in training education professionals.

​The award ceremony was attended by tens of Mandel graduates, the heads of the Mandel Foundation and the Mandel Foundation–Israel, and members of Oranim College’s board of directors, its academic faculty, and its student body.​
